Safe & Ready - June 2025
This month, we’re focusing on vehicular preparedness: the small things you can do to keep yourself, your loved ones, and your car safe before something goes wrong.

From Kevin
Some seasons come with more miles.
Between graduation road trips, summer vacations, and everyday errands in hot weather, June tends to find us behind the wheel more often—and often farther from home. That’s why this month, we’re focusing on vehicular preparedness: the small things you can do to keep yourself, your loved ones, and your car safe before something goes wrong.
Whether you’re launching a student into the world or just driving across town, now is a great time to shore up your readiness behind the wheel. Let’s get to it.

📖 DEVOTIONAL
The Path of the Prepared
“A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
— Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
There’s a kind of humility in preparedness. It doesn’t assume we can control everything—just that we can do our part.
Scripture tells us that we make plans in our hearts, but the Lord is the one who ultimately guides our steps. And yet that verse doesn’t scold planning—it dignifies it. It reminds us that wisdom and trust go hand in hand.
That’s especially true when we think about travel, transitions, and the people we’re responsible for. Whether you’re sending a child off to college, helping a friend prep for a road trip, or simply trying to keep the family car running, preparedness is one way we love well.
Not because we can foresee every breakdown, but because we’ve taken the time to care ahead of time.
So this month, check the tire pressure. Restock the glovebox. Give the car a once-over before the next trip. It may seem small, but it's how we quietly live out wisdom, love, and trust—in the ordinary rhythms of summer life.
✅ Try One Step This Week:
- Add a phone charger or flashlight to your glovebox
- Teach a young driver how to check tire pressure
- Remove personal data from a car's infotainment system
- Look up local towing or roadside numbers and save them in your phone
- Forward this newsletter to someone hitting the road this summer
📅 Coming Next Month…
We’ll walk through how to build a simple “Go Folder”—a quick-grab envelope or binder with vital records, emergency info, and everything you’d need if you had to leave home in a hurry.
Prepared, not paranoid.
Stay safe. Be ready. Online and off.
